• Sharing on iOS changed to a more reliable copy-and-paste option - tapping Share now copies the project title, designer, and Ravelry link, then shows a confirmation
• Project sharing on Android fixed to include the Ravelry link along with the project title

Forums

• Forum scrolling improved so threads with rich embeds like linked patterns, projects, or image carousels feel smoother
• Text selection and copy support added for forum posts through a copy icon

Designer Detail

• Tapping a designer's Instagram, Facebook, or other social media link on the Designer Detail screen now opens correctly on iOS

Remaining Yarn Balance

• Remaining balance calculated per stash entry by deducting yarn allocated to projects
• See how much yarn is actually available for a new project instead of just total stash amounts

Project Parts & Sections

• Projects now support named parts or sections, each with its own independent set of row counters
• Add project parts from the row counters screen or select a prepared garment type like sweater
• In the PDF viewer, tap "+" to add a project part and assign counters, markers, and notes to specific sections
• Easily switch between parts to track progress on multi-piece projects like sweaters, blankets, or garments

Home Screen Widgets

• A variety of widgets for placing buttons, patterns, searches, and more directly on the phone or iPad home screen
• See active project progress, recent activity, or stash highlights at a glance without opening the app

Finished Project Highlight

• A highlight card is generated when a project is marked as finished, combining photos, yarn used, needle size, modifications, and time spent into a clean shareable format
• Ready for social media, messaging, or email

Yarn Substitution Calculator

• Calculate how much substitute yarn is needed based on differences in yardage per weight
• Supports both metric and imperial units, and stash entries can be used as input directly

Swatch & Gauge Adapter

• Basic and advanced gauge calculator for when your swatch doesn't match the pattern's stated gauge
• Recalculates stitch and row counts with support for metric and imperial measurements

A major forum upgrade with KAL detection, FO gallery view, topic grouping, per-topic push notifications, quick reply with quoting, and emoji rendering. Plus Markdown table support in project notes, faster loading, and accessibility improvements across the app.

Forums

• KAL & MKAL tags - knit-along topics are now visually distinguished from regular threads in forum lists
• FO Gallery View - browse all finished object photos in a topic at once instead of scrolling post by post
• Topic Grouping - related topics (e.g. KAL clues, pattern discussions) are grouped together for easier navigation
• Post-Level Bookmarks - pin individual forum posts for quick retrieval
• Quick Reply - reply to a post with quoted text without opening the full composer
• Ravelry emoji images are now converted to Unicode characters instead of showing broken images
• Emoji shortcodes in topic titles now render as proper emoji in forum lists and breadcrumbs
• Chat tag detection improved - "no chat" titles are no longer tagged as Chat, and chat emoji in titles trigger the Chat tag correctly
• Faster forum loading - forum previews now load lazily, only fetching data for forums visible on screen
• Read topics disappear from the preview when you return from reading them

Notifications

• Per-topic push notifications - you now see which topic has a new reply, not just a generic unread count

Project Notes

• Markdown tables now render correctly in project notes - columns, alignment, and borders all display as expected

Web

• HEIC avatar images are now auto-converted to JPEG so they display on all browsers
• Samsung Internet browser support - the app now tolerates small clock differences between phone and server

Performance

• Designer detail screen loads instantly - background checks no longer block rendering
• Smoother scrolling - list items optimized to avoid unnecessary re-rendering during scroll
• Private PDF thumbnails are now generated automatically on upload

UX Polish

• Pull-to-refresh on Discover and Events screens
• Skeleton loading animations on the Discover screen
• Friendly empty state messages guide users when there is no data
• Consistent loading-more spinner at the bottom of all paginated lists
• Long text in feed items and cards is cleanly truncated with ellipsis

• The PDF Viewer has been renamed to Smart Pattern Reader across the app, reflecting its evolution beyond a simple PDF viewer
• Craft-specific terminology throughout: Reading Guides, Stitch Markers, Row Notes, Pattern Snapshots, Pattern Notes, and Freehand
• Pattern Translation for AI-assisted reading of non-English patterns (beta)
